March 3, 2008 - The Houston Livestock and Rodeo show has taken place at Reliant Park since 1966.
The complex in Houston is made up of a number of different venues including Carruth Plaza, Reliant Stadium, Reliant Center, Reliant Arena, and Reliant Astrodome. It is named after a Houston-based energy company called Reliant Energy.

Carruth Plaza
March 3, 2008 - This plaza was built in honor of Allen H. "Buddy" Carruth who was the longer term President of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It was completed in 2003, and features a number of sculptures placed inside a garden that showcases an obelisk and eight bronze statues.
Reliant Stadium
March 3, 2008 - This stadium is currently home to the Houston Texans as well as the Houston Rodeo. On February 1, 2004, the New England Patriots played the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII (final score of 32-29). This Super Bowl was most famous for the "wardrobe malfunction" controversy with Janet Jackson. This was the first stadium that had a retractable roof and natural grass.
Reliant Center
March 3, 2008 - Opening in 2004, Reliant Center is indeed the center hub of the entire park. It has over 706,000 square feet of exhibit space and can divide into 11 separate halls. It has 61 meeting rooms, two conference centers, 150,000 square feet of registration space, and 118 loading bays.
The center provides high-speed internet, fiber optic cabling, 120 TV monitors and on-site production facilities. This center has hosted some of the largest conventions and trade shows in Houston including the Houston Rodeo.
